BarkLimiter Features of the Sport Pro

The BarkLimiter™ feature can correct your dogs automatically when they bark. For a very helpful and full demonstration on how to use the Sport® Pro dog training system's BarkLimiter features, see the overview video here:

Enabling the BarkLimiter From the Handheld

You can use your Sport Pro handheld to enable BarkLimiter features. When you enable BarkLimiter mode from the handheld, you can set the dog collar to use auto-rise, vibration, or fixed stimulation levels.

BarkLimiter Set to Auto-rise

  1. Set the Intensity Dial to AUX.
  2. Select BarkLimiter On/Continuous button key, (the green LED flashes on the collar).
  3. Select BarkLimiter On/Continuous button key again to enable auto-rise.
  4. A blue LED light on the dog collar indicates that it is in BarkLimiter mode.

BarkLimiter Set to a Specific Intensity Level Number

  1. Set the Intensity Dial to AUX.
  2. Select BarkLimiter On/Continuous button key, (the green LED flashes on the collar).
  3. While the LED light is flashing green, rotate/click the Intensity Dial to the intensity level number you want.
  4. Select the Continuous key.
  5. A blue LED light on the dog collar indicates that it is in BarkLimiter mode.

BarkLimiter Set to Vibration Only

  1. Set the Intensity Dial to AUX.
  2. Select BarkLimiter On/Continuous button key (the green LED flashes on the collar).
  3. Select the VIBE key.
  4. A blue LED light on the dog collar indicates that it is in BarkLimiter mode.

The BarkLimiter will now correct the dog with vibration only.

Overriding the BarkLimiter Feature From the Handheld

If you need to apply a quick stimulation when your dog collar is in BarkLimiter mode, you can override the BarkLimiter feature using the handheld.

  • Enable training features by holding either continuous, tone, or vibrate for four seconds. The dog collar returns to training mode.

Turning Off the BarkLimiter Feature From the Handheld

  1. Set the dial to AUX.
  2. Select BarkLimiter Off/Momentary button key.

LED Light Flashes While in BarkLimiter Mode

The status LED flashes briefly when the dog collar detects motion or corrects a bark.

  • A quick green, yellow, or red flash means motion was detected and no correction was applied.
    • This also denotes how much charge is left in the dog device battery ranging from high to low.
  • A quick Blue flash means a bark was detected and a correction was applied.

Enabling the Independent BarkLimiter Feature Directly on the Dog Collar

The dog collar can also operate independent of the handheld as an auto-rise only bark correction device.

  • This is enabled directly from the dog collar from the power key. When using the dog collar in this mode, the radio signal is disabled. You cannot control the dog collar with the handheld.
  • To enable auto-rise on the dog collar, hold the Power key until the LED flashes blue. The collar is now in auto-rise BarkLimiter mode.
  • To return to remote training mode, turn OFF the dog collar device and then turn it back ON
    • Press and hold Power until you see a solid red light, then let go. The collar shuts off.

Bark Odometer Feature

When you enable BarkLimiter mode directly on the dog collar, in the independent BarkLimiter mode, a Bark Odometer feature is enabled.

When the collar is powered off at the end of the day, the LED flashes red and green to report the number of times the device detected a bark since it was last turned on. This can help you track your dogs barking behavior.

  • Red flash is ten barks
  • Green flash is one bark

For example, one red flash followed by 4 green flashes indicates the device detected 14 barks. Zero flashes indicates the device detected zero barks.
