Pairing or Unpairing an inReach Satellite Communicator to a Compatible Automotive Device
Pairing an inReach® satellite communicator with a Tread®, Tread® - Base Edition, Tread® 2, Tread 2 - Overland Edition, Tread 2 - SxS Edition, zūmo® XT, or zūmo® XT2 GPS navigator allows you to use it similarly to how you would use it with the Earthmate® or Garmin Explore™ mobile applications.
Once paired, you can send or receive messages from the navigator. You can also trigger an SOS, request weather, and start or stop track recording (not available when paired with the Alpha® 200i handheld).
NOTE: The inReach communicator can only be paired to one of the following devices at a time: Tread, Tread - Base Edition, Tread 2, Tread 2 - Overland Edition, Tread 2 - SxS Edition , zūmo XT, or zūmo XT2.
Pairing an inReach Communicator with a GPS Navigator:
On the navigator, touch the Apps icon.
Touch inReach.
Touch Connect Now.
Power on the inReach® communicator and enable ANT+ or inReach Remote. Select your inReach compatible device below for steps:
Touch OK on the navigator if prompted.
The navigator will find the inReach-compatible communicator and connect automatically.
