Inactive Account Deletion
If there is no activity on your Garmin account across all our sites and services for at least 2 years, your account will be deleted per our privacy policies. Multiple notifications are sent to the email address on the profile prior to deleting the account.
What Is Used to Determine Activity Across All Garmin Sites?
Logins (authentication activity).
Uploads from a device
Purchases
Email Marketing Engagement.
Community interactions.
What Is Not Considered Activity?
Map installations that do not require login. Updating most preloaded automotive maps does not require an account login and therefore does not show account activity. Having an account is not required to update most automotive maps.

How to Activate?
If you wish to keep your account active, simply sign in at https://www.garmin.com/account/ and we will know you want to keep it. If you no longer want an account with Garmin, the deletion process will occur automatically. If after signing in you determine you no longer want an account, you can submit a deletion request. Data cannot be restored after it is deleted. If you choose to delete your account, we will permanently delete data for all Garmin sites, apps and services using this account such as Garmin Connect, Garmin.com, Connect IQ, inReach, Garmin Pilot, and flyGarmin.
If you would like to learn more about the data associated to your account, you can sign in to your account and review your data in the Data Management Center located under your account profile.1
A new account can be created if desired after the account deletion is complete; however, data will not be restored.
In instances where you may have more than one account, please refer to the to: address the email was received to know which account is being referenced.
1 Note that logging in will show activity on the account so the auto deletion of the account will no longer occur.
