Viewing Wind Speed and Direction During a Golf Round on My Garmin Watch

Several golf capable Garmin watches give the direction and speed of the wind. Knowing the direction and the speed of the wind can help you make a better decision on which club to use. Wind speed and direction are relative to the pin for the hole. To see if your Garmin device is compatible see your owner's manual and search "Viewing the Wind Speed and Direction".

For this feature to work, the watch requires a connection to the Garmin Golf™ app and a GPS signal. If you select to skip the satellite acquisition, the watch will still try to acquire satellites. The wind data will not show until the watch acquires satellites.

IMPORTANT: For iPhones, the Garmin Golf app must be open or running in the background for wind data to appear on your watch.
