NOTE: No configuration is needed for Smart Notifications in the dēzl™ App for Apple iOS. The smart notifications sent to the Garmin device are configured in your iPhone’s settings > Notifications.
Any notification enabled on your phone will be sent to the Garmin device.
1. Open the dēzl App on your phone and set your phone to Find Me/Discoverable mode
Refer to the owner's manual of the phone if you are not sure how to set it to Find Me/Discoverable mode.
2. Touch Settings from the Garmin device
3. Touch Wireless Networks.
4. Touch Bluetooth
5. If the Bluetooth switch in the upper right corner is disabled, touch the switch to
enable it
6. Touch Garmin dēzl™ in the dēzl App
7. Accept the End User License Agreement and touch Next
8. Touch Agree
9. Scroll down and select your Garmin dēzl model from the list
NOTE: It is recommended to use the QR code when available for pairing. This is usually shown during the device setup.
10. Touch Find Garmin Device
11. Touch the name of the Garmin device from the list of compatible Bluetooth devices in the area
12. Touch Pair on the Garmin device
13. Touch Pair on the phone
14. Follow the on-screen prompts in the app
15. Touch Sign In, if you don't have an account touch Create Account
- If you selected Create Account enter your name, email address, retype your email address, enter your password, then select Next
16. Enter your email and password and touch Next
17. Enter the security code sent to your email address or phone number then touch Next
- Skip this step if the code is not requested
18. Touch Apps on the Garmin device
19. Touch Tools
20. Touch Smart Notifications
21. Touch the wrench icon
22. Place a checkmark on the notifications you want to receive
23. Touch Save
You will now be able to view or listen to notifications from your phone on your Garmin device. Examples below:
