Custom Points of Interest Not Displayed on a Device
If certain custom Points of Interest (POIs) are not displayed on a device after being transferred by Points of Interest (POI) Loader, and if your custom POIs are categorized, be sure to select the correct category when searching for a POI on your device.
If the POI is still not found, and if that POI is located several hundred miles away from your current location, you may need to change the search location on your device before the POI will be shown. For steps to change the search location, refer to your device's owners' manual.
If the POIs are Still not Displayed, try the Following Steps:
- Use POI Loader to reload the .gpx or .csv file containing the POIs
- If you receive an error message, see FAQs below or refer to our Support Center for more solutions
- If you are using a mass storage device, open the POI folder to make sure it contains a .gpi file for the POIs
- If you're not sure whether your device is a mass storage device, see Related Content for lists of devices that use mass storage mode
- Some locked POI files may have an unlock (.unl) file associated. Check the source of your POIs to find out whether this file is needed
