Data From My Activity Does Not Match Between Garmin and a Third-Party Site
Our Garmin Connect™ platform can link to select third-party fitness platforms so that recorded activity data uploaded to your Garmin Connect account is automatically shared with those platforms. These third-party companies use the Garmin Connect Application Program Interface (API) to pull data from the Garmin Connect app and integrate it into their mobile app(s).
For some third party platforms, Garmin may use that third party's SDK to write data to the third party app or platform. Some data can be interpreted differently between Garmin Connect account and other platforms resulting in information not matching. This can include, but is not limited to:
Average pace or speed
Distance or elapsed time from timed activities
Distance from all-day movement based on the number of steps recorded
Although Garmin keeps the distance information between timed activities and all-day movement separate, as well as measures active and resting calories distinctly, some third-party fitness platforms may take a different approach when displaying your data, which may not match how you see it in Garmin Connect. Not all third-parties sites display the same information after processing the raw data Garmin provides.
What if My Data in the Third-Party App Is Missing or Incorrect?
If you have connected your Garmin Connect app to a third-party app but do not see the data in the third-party app, see - Garmin Connect Data Is Not Syncing over to My Third-Party App.
If your data appears correctly in your Garmin Connect account, but is being duplicated or does not appear to be correct in the third-party app, reach out to the company that created the third-party app you are using for further support.
