Formatting the Camera microSD Memory Card or Map microSD Memory Card on a Garmin DriveCam™ 76 Device

Only the camera microSD card can be formatted directly from the device.  Garmin recommends formatting the microSD Memory Card at least once every six months.  

The Map microSD card can only be formatted using a computer. To format the Map microSD card, see Formatting a microSD/SD Memory Card.

To Format the Camera microSD Card:

1. Touch Gallery

2. Touch Yes to disable the current video recording and alerts

3. Touch the menu icon

4. Touch Format Memory Card

5. Touch Yes

The camera microSD Card will now be formatted in FAT32 and all videos and pictures will be deleted.
