Pairing a Delta Canine Remote

Before you can use the remote with your device, you must pair your Delta Smart™ or Delta InBounds™ device with the Garmin Canine™ app on your smartphone.1 Once the Delta® dog device is paired with the Garmin Canine app you can use the steps below to pair the Canine Remote to the collar.

NOTE: Effective September 1, 2022, the Garmin Canine app is no longer available to download from the play stores for either Android or Apple. If you already have it installed it will continue to operate.

Pairing the Canine Remote

  1. Open the Garmin Canine app on your smartphone
  2. Touch Three Horizontal Lines
  3. Touch My Family
  4. Select a dog to pair with the remote
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions


After the remote is paired, it will connect to your device whenever the device is in range and turned on.  

NOTE: If more than one dog is on the system, the remote can be paired with all of the dogs. However, when the correction is made, all of the collars will be corrected. It is important to unpair the remote from the previous collar prior to adding to a new collar in order to avoid this.



1 If the remote was part of a bundle with the Delta Smart it will work without pairing but only at a level 1 stimulation.
