Changing the Voice Language on an Automotive Device

You can change the voice language or speaker voice on the device to switch between languages or different voices (e.g. English -United States or English - United Kingdom).

To Change the Voice Language:

1. Touch Settings 
2. Touch Map and Vehicle
3. Touch Voice Language
   
4. Select the desired voice language

The voice language will now be changed.

Occasionally language files can be updated, although this is optional. These files can generally be updated at the same time as a regular map or software update. Additionally, devices do not always come preloaded with every voice option. If any voice files are missing or corrupt on an automotive device, they can be reloaded and updated using Garmin Express.

To Reload or Update Voices:

1. Download and install the Garmin Express application
2. Connect the device
3. Click Tools & Content
4. Click the Utilities tab
5. Scroll down to Optional Updates
6. Click Language Files and select the desired language(s)
7. Scroll down and click Install Now

Once installed, the voice language can be changed on the device.
