¹If the media player requires being powered by the GPSMAP® chartplotter, MFD or Black Box, such as a Chromecast™, then a Garmin GPSMAP USB OTG adapter cable is needed in addition to the video input cable. The USB port can supply up to 2.5 W to power a media player stick.
² If the media player stick requires being powered by the GPSMAP® chartplotter, MFD or Black Box, then a Garmin adapter cable (such as a USB C to Micro USB Adapter Cable, 010-12390-13) is needed in addition to the video input cable. The USB DRD port on a GPSMAP® 9000 series MFD or Black Box can supply up to 2.5 W to power a media player stick. The USB port on a GPSMAP® 9000 series MFD or Black Box can supply up to 4.5 W to power a media player stick.
For GPSMAP® chartplotters, MFDs or Black Boxes that do not support protected HDMI® video sources (HDCP) some video sources may allow HDCP to be turned off at the source. Check the video source's manual to verify.
The Garmin HDMI® accessory cable is 4.5 m (15 ft) long. If you need a longer cable, you should use an active HDMI cable only. You will need an HDMI coupler to connect the two HDMI cables.
