inReach Mini External Power Feature

The inReach® Mini handheld has an external power feature that gives you a choice for the inReach Mini handheld to power off after disconnecting from an AC or DC power source. This is to prevent unnecessary battery drain.

NOTE: You may have noticed this feature appear after updating your Mini. If you do not see this option, refer to Related for how to update.

Changing the External Power Setting

1. From the main page, press the OK button to reach the Main menu.
2. Select Setup.
3. Select External Power.

• If Auto Off is Off: The Mini will remain on when disconnected from external power.
• If Auto Off is On: The Mini will display a warning when disconnected from external power and begin a 30 second countdown:
  • If you press the button, the Mini will remain powered on.
  • If you press the OK button or the countdown completes, the Mini will power off.

NOTE: Disconnecting from a computer will still result in the inReach Mini handheld powering off immediately.
