inReach Mini External Power Feature
The inReach® Mini handheld has an external power feature that gives you a choice for the inReach Mini handheld to power off after disconnecting from an AC or DC power source. This is to prevent unnecessary battery drain.
NOTE: You may have noticed this feature appear after updating your Mini. If you do not see this option, refer to Related for how to update.
Changing the External Power Setting
- From the main page, press the OK button to reach the Main menu.
- Select Setup.
- Select External Power.
- If Auto Off is Off: The Mini will remain on when disconnected from external power.
- If Auto Off is On: The Mini will display a warning when disconnected from external power and begin a 30 second countdown:
- If you press the
button, the Mini will remain powered on.
- If you press the OK button or the countdown completes, the Mini will power off.
- If you press the
NOTE: Disconnecting from a computer will still result in the inReach Mini handheld powering off immediately.
