Tread App Weather Provider

The free Advanced weather services available through the Tread® app are provided by Digital Cyclone.

Acquired by Garmin in 2007, Digital Cyclone is a company that specializes in providing weather information to wireless devices.

Digital Cyclone receives weather data directly from NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration) weather satellites.

Data includes real-time weather forecasts, road conditions, and color-coded weather radar.  The weather radar refresh rate is every 15 minutes.
