Garmin's Bluetooth Requirements for Automotive Devices

This is for when you want to pair your mobile device to your automotive device to use your automotive device as a Bluetooth microphone and speaker for phone calls.

NOTE: This feature is not available on all Bluetooth compatible devices.

Requirements: Mobile Device must Support Bluetooth Functionality

    • These devices have A2DP Bluetooth but do not support pairing to a headset.

    • They can stream navigation, phone, and media audio to a vehicle's stereo system.

    • Requires smartphone and vehicle (sold separately) paired with Bluetooth technology and use of the Garmin Drive™ app.

The dēzl app provides Live Traffic, Smart Notifications, Address Sharing, Weather, and more. For more information, see dēzl app.

Android phones and tablets require Android version 9.0 or later.

• Wi-Fi and Cellular capability are required

• The dēzl™ app will not be available in the Google Play Store if the app is incompatible with the device being used

• Trying to install the app to an incompatible device from the Garmin website will prompt this error: "your device isn't compatible with this version"

iPhones and iPads require iOS 16.4 or later.

• Wi-Fi and Cellular capability are required

• Apple only includes the GPS chipset in the Wi-Fi + Cellular models

iPhones and iPads require iOS 13.0 or later

NOTE: The VIRB® Mobile app has been discontinued from the Google Play Store and is no longer available to download for Android devices.
