Alternative Ways to Display Navionics Charts Using SDK Applications
What is an SDK Application?
A software development kit (SDK) is a set of tools that provides a developer the ability to build a custom app that can be added on, or connected to, another program. SDKs allow programmers to develop apps for a specific platform.
How to Use Navionics® Charts and Specialized Features in Other Apps
Do you like Navionics charts but also want a specific feature?
Apps that offer specialized services can now integrate our electronic chart content and provide you with exactly what you are looking for.
All over the world, companies and organizations ask to integrate Navionics online charts to their websites to engage online audiences. Interactive Navionics charts can be displayed on other apps (Apple® or Android® platforms) and websites.
- You must have purchased charts within the Navionics Boating app.
- You must be registered with your Navionics account within the other app.
- The two apps must be running on the same mobile platform--Apple or Android.
NOTE: Exceptions to this are applications that use Navionics charts and also sell them directly. (See related content.)
A subscription purchased on the Boating app cannot be used on these applications, nor can the purchase made on the applications be used on the Boating app. This would require an additional application.
