Vehicle Information Out of Date Error Message when Updating a Honda Vehicle

The following message will display in Garmin Express if more than 24 hours have passed between the following steps 1 (inserting the USB flash drive into the vehicle) and 2 (using Garmin Express). If it has been less than 24 hours and you are receiving this message, verify the date and time are correct on the vehicle clock. An incorrect data and time can cause an incorrect time stamp.

Return to the vehicle and rewrite the information from your navigation system to the USB flash drive to correct this.  See the instructions below for your vehicle.

1. Plug the USB flash drive into the vehicle

2.Touch Navigation

3. Touch the menu button ( 3 dots) in the upper right corner

4. Touch Settings

5. Touch Map & Vehicle

6. Touch Update Maps

7. Touch Start Map Update Process

8. Follow the onscreen prompts


2019 and Newer Honda Pilots, Insights, and Passports

1. Plug the USB flash drive into the vehicle

2. Touch Navigation
