Sharing Alpha 200 Plus and Alpha 300 Series Dog Groups

The Alpha® 200 Plus, Alpha® 300, and Alpha® 300i dog tracking handhelds have the ability to share groups from one handheld to another. When sharing groups the dog training keys are only added if you share Track and Control. 

IMPORTANT: The Alpha 200 Plus and Alpha 300 handhelds can only share Dog Groups with another Alpha 200 Plus or Alpha 300 handheld, or the Alpha XL navigator. You cannot share groups to any other Alpha dog tracking systems. 

Sending and Receiving Dog Groups

On the sending unit:

1. Select Dog List
2. Select the Group Icon
   
3. Select the group you would like to share
4. Select
5. The device will start to search for a receiving Alpha 300 handheld
6. Once the receiving Alpha 300 handheld has been found the sending unit will begin to share the group.

The group has now been shared from the handheld. When sharing groups the dog training keys are only added if you select Track and Control.

Receiving on the Alpha 200 Plus and Alpha 300 Handheld

On the receiving unit:

1. Select Dog List
2. Select the Group Icon 
   
3. Select  
4. Select Receive From Handheld 
5.  The device will start to search for the sending Alpha 300 handheld
6. Once the sending Alpha 300 handheld has been found the receiving unit will begin to add the group.
   

The group has now been shared from the handheld. When sharing groups the dog training keys are only added if you selected Track and Control.

Receiving on an Alpha XL Navigator

On the Alpha XL navigator:

1. From the main menu select the Group Icon
2. Select the three dots
3. Select Receive From Device
4. The device will start to search for the sending Alpha
5.  Once found the group is added to the group list. 

The group has now been shared from the handheld. When sharing groups the dog training keys are only added if Track and Control was selected when sharing.
