Deleting Data and Messages in the Garmin Explore App

At times, you may wish to delete data like activities, tracks, waypoints, or messages from the Garmin Explore™ app. Individual items and messages or entire message threads can be deleted in the Garmin Explore app on iOS and Android.

NOTE: With the exception of messages, deleting an item from the Garmin Explore app or paired devices removes that item from all paired devices, the Garmin Explore app, and Garmin Explore website after a sync.
Messages need to be deleted from all locations for them to be truly deleted. For additional steps, refer to Deleting Messages in your owner's manual and Deleting Data and Messages From the Garmin Explore Website.
If you are using a compatible device with the Garmin Messenger™ app as well as the Garmin Explore app, messages will be delegated to the Garmin Messenger app. For more details on using the Garmin Messenger app, see - Deleting Messages in the Garmin Messenger App.

Deleting Activities, Waypoints, Routes, Courses, or Tracks

1. Open the Garmin Explore app.

2. Select  Map or  Saved and locate the item you wish to delete.

3. Select an activity, waypoint, course, route, or track.

   • If selecting the item from the Map, select the name of the desired item after tapping on the map.

   • If selecting the item from Saved, select an activity from the top of the Saved section or scroll down to All Items and select the name of a waypoint, course, route, or track.

   • If you wish to delete multiple items at once, this can be done from the Saved section by scrolling down to All Items and tapping next to one of the items, then tap Select. You can then checkmark the items you wish to delete.

4. Select , then select Delete.

5. Select Delete again when prompted.

Deleting Individual Messages

1. Open the Garmin Explore app.

2. Select  Messages.

3. Select a message thread.

4. Select an individual message.

5. Select or .

6. Select Delete.

7. Select Delete again when prompted.

Deleting Entire Message Threads

1. Open the Garmin Explore app.

2. Select  Messages.

   • iOS: Swipe a message thread to the left.

   • Android: Select and hold on a message thread.

3. Select Delete.
