Sending Xero Locations to a Compatible Garmin Watch

To send Xero Locations from a Xero A1i or X1i to a compatible Garmin watch, the latest software updates should be installed on both the Xero and watch. For steps to update, see Related below.

Using the Xero Locations Widget on a Compatible Watch

1. Enable Broadcast Mode on the Watch

  1. Hold Menu.
  2. Select or scroll to Settings.
  3. Select Sensors & Accessories.
  4. Select Add New (if prompted).
  5. Select Xero Locations.
  6. Select Status On.

2. Add Xero Locations Widget to the Watch

The Xero Locations widget is added automatically when a Xero is paired with most newer Garmin watches. If the widget is not added automatically, use the steps below to add it.

  1. Hold Menu.
  2. Select or scroll to Settings.
  3. Select Widgets.
  4. Select Add Widgets.
  5. Select Add Xero Widget.

3. Enable Broadcast Mode on Xero

Xero A1i

  1. From the Main Menu, select Green Gear Wheel.
  2. Select Laser Locations.
  3. Select Broadcast Mode.
    NOTE: Selecting Private shares Xero Locations only with paired devices; Public allows any compatible Garmin devices in ANT+ range to receive Xero Locations.

Xero X1i

  1. From the Main Menu, select Green Gear Wheel.
  2. Select Xero Locations.
  3. Select Broadcast Mode.
    NOTE: Selecting Private shares Xero Locations only with paired devices; Public allows any compatible Garmin devices in ANT+ range to receive Xero Locations.

4. Range a Shot Then Send the Location to the Watch

Xero A1i

  1. From the Main Menu, select Gray Shot Icon.

  2. Select the Shot you want to send to the watch.
  3. Select Yes and wait for A1i to show the transfer is complete.
    NOTE: A second attempt may be needed if the location is not sent in the initial attempt, as the first attempt may be more about establishing the connecting the Watch to the the Xero.

Xero X1i

  1. From the Main Menu, select Xero Locations.
  2. Select the Shot you want to send to the watch.
  3. Select Yes and wait for X1i to show the transfer is complete.
    NOTE: A second attempt may be needed if the location is not sent in the initial attempt, as the first attempt may be more about establishing the connecting the Watch to the the Xero.

5. Receive Shot Information on Watch and Navigate to Target

  1. Go to the Xero Widget on the watch.

  2. Select Yes to receive the shot information from the Xero.This will bring up the navigation page on the compatible watch allowing you to navigate to the estimated location of the shot.

  3. Select Start/Stop on the watch to record an activity while navigating to your target.
