HRM-Tri storing HR data for non-swimming activities

The HRM-Tri will store heart rate1 data whenever it is being worn. Compatible watches2 will request the stored heart rate data in any sport mode (e.g. run or bike). The HRM-Tri will have to have been connected to the watch at some point during the activity, and there will need to be at least 30 consecutive seconds of missing heart rate data. The activity timer will need to be running for the duration of the activity.

For example, to record heart rate information for a basketball game using the HRM-Tri and Forerunner 920XT:

  1. Put on HRM-Tri
  2. Select an activity profile (example Indoor Run)
  3. Start timer and confirm that heart rate is displayed on device
  4. Leave Forerunner 920XT in a locker or on side of court
  5. At end of game, stop activity while still wearing HRM-Tri
  6. Select Save

The Forerunner 920XT will now download the stored heart rate data.

1Running dynamics are not stored for post-activity download.

2Compatible devices that will receive heart rate data from the HRM-Tri are: D2 Bravo, epix, fenix 3/HR, fenix 5/5S/5X, fenix Chronos, Forerunner 735XT, Forerunner 920XT, Forerunner 935, quatix 3, and tactix Bravo.
