PRODUCTS AFFECTED:

GI 275 Multi-function Instruments with System Software Version 3.20 or earlier are affected.

CERTIFICATION AUTHORIZATION:

TSO Authorization

TSO authorization does not provide installation airworthiness approval. Separate installation airworthiness approval is required for type certified aircraft. Notification of revision to any Garmin STC(s) will be provided under a separate service bulletin.

COMPLIANCE:

Garmin TSO Service Bulletin 24086 is optional and may be incorporated at the owner’s discretion.

DOCUMENTATION CONSIDERATIONS:

GI 275 Pilot’s Guide (190-02246-01) Rev S has been updated to reflect GI 275 Multi-function Instrument System Software Version 3.40.

GI 275D Pilot’s Guide (190-03060-00) Rev C has been updated to reflect GI 275D Multi-function Instrument System Software Version 3.40.

PURPOSE:

GI 275 Multi-function Instrument System Software Version 3.40 adds the following.

GI 275 (-00 through -70):

• Various Configuration Menu improvements
  
• Database Sync improvements
  
• Protected fuel calibration and battery rundown test results from being lost to a config clear
  
• Configurable OAT Probe Sensor options
  
  • TAT via an external ARINC 429 source
    
  • Third Party Oat Probe
