Installed Maps Do Not Display in BaseCamp, HomePort or MapSource

NOTE: HomePort™ software has been discontinued. For additional information regarding the discontinuation, see HomePort Application Discontinued.

Map detail may not display in BaseCamp™, HomePort, or MapSource® software if the settings are incorrect. To resolve this, select the appropriate operating system below and follow the steps to ensure that the settings in BaseCamp, HomePort, and MapSource software are correct.

NOTE: The latest versions of HomePort and MapSource software are only available on Windows. BaseCamp software is available on both Windows and Mac.


Windows

Select a Map Product to View:

  1. Open BaseCamp, HomePort, or MapSource program

  2. Follow the directions for the selected program

    • HomePort: Click Chart then Chart Product

    • MapSource: Click View then Switch to Product

    • BaseCamp: Click Maps

  3. Select on the desired map product

Note: The selected map product will have a checkmark next to it.


Turn off Basic Map Only:

  1. Open BaseCamp, HomePort, or MapSource program
  2. Click the View menu at the top
  3. Ensure that Basic Map Only (BaseCamp and MapSource) or Basic Chart Only (HomePort) is unchecked

Ensure that the Latest Version of the Application is Installed:

If your map detail is still not showing, ensure that the latest version of the application is installed:


Mac OS X

Select a Map Product to View:

  1. Open BaseCamp or HomePort program
  2. Click Maps in the menu bar
  3. Click the desired map product

The selected map product will have a checkmark next to it.


Ensure that the Latest Version of the Application is Installed:

If your map detail is still not showing, ensure that the latest version of the application is installed:

NOTE: With the release of macOS Catalina 10.15, HomePort software is no longer compatible with Mac computers. HomePort software will only work on a Mac computer if you are running macOS 10.8 thru 10.14.
