Automotive Device Showing an Address in the Wrong Spot

You may sometimes notice that your automotive device indicates that an address is in an incorrect location on the street, e.g. on the wrong side of the street or that it is further down the street than it really is. This may be due to logical addressing.

Logical addressing assigns a general area to each address. For example, if a stretch of road is known to contain house numbers from 100-199, the placement of addresses along that road is interpolated. This means that 150 would be placed in the middle of the stretch of road, even though it may be located some distance from the center since addresses are not always spaced evenly.
