Comparing Correction Levels Between Dog Training Systems

Garmin produces several different dog training systems. There are some differences in the intensity of correction between these different systems. For example, a Garmin Sport® Pro model has the level intensity selectable from 1-10. In contrast, a Pro 550 system has 7 levels on the selector dial, with a low, medium, and high intensity via the training buttons, giving a total of 21 levels. 

A question could be asked: “What level on a Garmin Sport Pro is the same as any given level on the Garmin Pro 550?”

Garmin does not provide an exact comparison. We suggest to test and find what level of intensity works best for your dog depending on what training system is being used. As an example, it is possible that a level 2 on the Sport Pro could feel like the level 2 on the Pro 550.  However, a level 4 on the Sport Pro could feel less much intense than the level 4 of the Pro 550.
