How Favorite Categories Work on the StreetPilot® 2700, 2800, and 7000 Series Devices

The StreetPilot® 2700, 2800, and 7000 series devices allow you to categorize your favorites. This allows you to locate specific favorites much more quickly. These devices come preloaded with four favorite categories: Business, Personal, Favorites, and Vacation. You may add or remove categories as you wish, but you may have only up to sixteen categories on the device at one time.

To add, delete, or rename a category:

1. Power the device on
   
2. Touch Tools
3. Touch My Data
4. Touch Favorites
5. Touch Categories
6. Choose the desired option
   • Add: Creates a new favorite category.
   • Delete: Permanently removes a category. All favorites categorized in a deleted category will be retained but labeled as "Unfiled." These favorites will need to be recategorized.
   • Rename: Changes the name of an existing category. All favorites categorized in a renamed category will be retained and filed under the new category name.
7. Touch and hold the Back button to return to the main menu.

To assign a category to a favorite or to change the category that is already assigned to a favorite:

1. Power the device on
   
2. Touch Where To?
3. Touch My Locations
4. Touch Favorites
5. Touch All Categories
   • Favorites that have not yet been categorized can be found by touching either All Categories or Unfiled
   • If the favorite is already categorized, you may touch either All Categories or the specific category to which the favorite is assigned
6. Touch the favorite you want to edit
7. Touch Advanced
8. Touch Edit Favorite
9. Touch Category
10. Locate the desired category from the list and touch it. A green check mark should appear beside it.
    • Favorites may be assigned to only one category at a time
11. Touch OK to save the change

Repeat the above steps as needed.
