Automotive Device Prompting to Simulate Route
If your automotive device is in a location where it cannot acquire an adequate GPS signal, such as inside a building, the device uses your last known location and simulates navigating a route. The device is not locked onto satellite signals but acts as though it is navigating a route. It may state "GPS Simulator is turned on for indoor use" and/or prompt you to simulate driving the route.
Your device must have a clear view of the sky to acquire the satellite signals. If your device's GPS Simulator is enabled, you will need to disable it from the Navigation Settings. For steps to do so, consult the device's owners' manual.
To simulate a route, see Simulating a Route on an Automotive Device.
