Turning Bluetooth Pairing Mode On For a vivomove Series Watch

To pair a vívomove series watch to a smartphone through the Garmin Connect™ app, the watch must be in Bluetooth pairing mode. This mode triggers a Bluetooth beacon signal that the app will look for. A brand new watch out of the box will automatically be in pairing mode when you turn it on for the first time.

If the watch was paired to a smartphone previously, you will first need to remove the watch from the Garmin Connect app and from the Bluetooth list on your smartphone. For help see: .

Select your watch model below to reveal the steps to enable pairing mode.


vívomove® 3, vívomove® 3S, or vívomove® Sport

  1. Double tap the watch lens near the 6 o'clock position to wake up the hidden display.

  2. Press and hold the screen to access the watch's menu screen.

  3. Swipe and select the Bluetooth phone icon vivomove 3 Bluetooth Menu icon.

  4. Swipe and select the same Bluetooth phone icon vivomove 3 Bluetooth Menu icon.

The watch will now be in Bluetooth pairing mode.

IMPORTANT: You must pair the watch through the Garmin Connect app and not directly to the phone's Bluetooth settings. 


vívomove® Luxe and vívomove® Style

  1. Double tap the watch lens near the 6 o'clock position to wake up the hidden display.

  2. Press and hold the screen to access the watch's menu screen.

  3. Swipe and select Phone.

 The watch will now be in Bluetooth pairing mode.


vívomove® Trend

  1. Double tap the watch lens to wake up the hidden display.

  2. Press and hold the touchscreen to access the menu.

  3. Select the Gear icon icon.

  4. Swipe up and select Phone.

  5. Select Pair Phone.

The watch is now in pairing mode.
