Troubleshooting a Collar Not Tracking in an Astro 220

If the compatible collar has already been added to the Astro® 220* dog tracking handheld the communication channel or ID may need to be changed to a different channel to prevent interference.

To change the dog channel on the Astro 220 handheld:

  1. Press DOG
  2. Press MENU
  3. Select Dog List
  4. Select dog
  5. Select Show Info
  6. Press MENU
  7. Select Change Comm. Settings
  8. Select a different ID setting**
  9. Complete other prompts as needed

The dog collar should now track properly.

**If there are other collars in the area, attempt to choose a number at least 5 numbers away from that collar's ID. If no other dog collars are in the area, choose a number at least 15 channels from the number currently set.
