How to View Marine Map Details on the quatix 6 series or MARQ Collection
In order to view Marine mapping you have loaded to your quatix® 6 watch or MARQ watch, you will need to enable the Marine Map theme and disable other mapping installed to the watch. Follow the instructions below in order to make sure that your watch is properly set to display marine mapping.
Select an option below.
Enabling the Marine Map Theme
Hold Up/Menu to enter the Main Menu
Select Activities & Apps
Select Map
Select Map Settings
Select Map
Select Map Theme
Select Marine
Your theme should now be set to Marine as shown below.
Disabling Other Maps
Hold Up/Menu to enter the Main Menu
Select Activities & Apps
Select Map
Select Map Settings
Select Map
Select Configure Maps
Disable maps your non-Marine Maps except the one labeled Worldwide DEM Basemap, NR
In the below images, you can see that the LakeVu map is enabled with its status indicator showing green, and the TopoActive mapping is disabled with its status indicator being gray.

What information the map displays is based on your watch's zoom level
NOTE: If user does not disable TOPO or World Wide DEM BaseMap, the detail level will not begin until the zoom level is at .2 miles or 321meters
Below are examples of what information will display based on the level of zoom.
At a scale of 20km, bodies of water are visible, but no details. | |
At a scale of 12km, names of bodies of water are visible, but no details. | |
At a scale of 5km, depth markers start to be visible. | |
At a scale of 3km, shoreline contours are visible. | |
At a scale of 1.2km, both depth markers, and shoreline contours are present. | |
At a scale of 800m, the most detailed version of shoreline contours are present. |
