Marking and Deleting Waypoints on a Montana 700 Series
There are a couple of different ways you can both mark and delete waypoints on a Montana® 700, 700i, 710, 710i, 750i, or 760i handheld device. Steps for all of these can be found below.
Using Mark Waypoint From the Main Menu

Mark Waypoint.
Coordinates and information for the current location will display.
From this page, the following fields can be edited:
Symbol, Name, Note, Location, Elevation, and Depth.
Tap on the field you wish to change.
After making your changes, select
to save.
Select Save at the bottom of the screen to save the waypoint.
You can find the saved waypoint in the Waypoint Manager.
Marking a Waypoint Using the Map
Touch
to access the map page.
Touch on a location on the map to select a location.
will be displayed over the selected location.
Touch the location description field at the top of the screen.

Select Save as Waypoint
A confirmation will display that the waypoint was successfully saved. Select OK.
OPTIONAL: If you wish to edit the symbol, name, note, location coordinates, elevation, or depth for the waypoint, touch
again, then select Edit Waypoint.
You can find the saved waypoint in the Waypoint Manager.
Deleting an Individual Waypoint
NOTE: When waypoints are deleted from the Montana 700 series handheld, they will also be deleted from the Garmin Explore™ app the next time you sync.

Select Waypoint Manager.
Select a waypoint
Touch

Select Delete.
Select Delete to confirm.
The selected waypoint should now be removed from the Waypoint Manager.
Deleting All Waypoints
NOTE: When waypoints are deleted from the Montana 700 series handheld, they will also be deleted from the Garmin Explore app the next time you sync.

Select Waypoint Manager.

Select Delete.
Select Select All at the top of the screen.
Select Delete at the top of the screen.
- Select Delete to confirm.
All of the waypoints should now be removed from the Waypoint Manager, indicated by No Results Found being displayed on the screen.
