Flight Tracking Notification Help
Entering Email Addresses and Phone Numbers for Text messaging:
Email addresses and phone numbers are automatically stored after the first time they are entered. You may keep up to 20 stored email addresses or text messaging addresses and select or unselect them for notifications. We will notify you if you have entered an incorrect email address. FltPlan®.com Flight planning services will receive an error message and then unselect the incorrect address in your account for future notifications, so check your entries for accuracy.
NOTE:
- Only put one e-mail address or phone number on one line.
- For text messaging, you will need to add the appropriate extension for your service provider to the end of your cell phone number.

Specific Airport Only
- This option allows you to select a specific airport for which you'd like to get notifications. If you want notifications for all airports for your aircraft, please leave "ALL" in the box. If you want a specific airport, enter the 4 letter airport ID in the box. You will receive email and text notifications only for flights into and out of this airport. This feature is useful for your company maintenance, line service, etc. at a home base.
Planned ATC Route Sent To your Mobile Device
- If you enter a plus sign "+" in front of your email address or text messaging address, and you have "Proposed" selected, we will send the Planned ATC Route for your flight to your smartphone. Updates/changes that occur from ATC before your flight will be included.
Examples of PLUS sign format:- "+Pilot@yahoo.com"
- "+2012211212@vtext.com" (Verizon)
Minimizing the Notifications Message
- If you want to minimize the length of your text messages, put a minus "-" sign in front of the e-mail address or text message address. This will still give you the 4 letter airport ID, but will remove the city name and state from your e-mail notifications.
- Example of MINUS sign format: "-Pilot@gmail.com"
EDCT and Wheels-Up Messages To your Mobile Device
- If you have "Proposed" selected, we will also send you any EDCT (Wheels-Up) information plus updates or changes that occur from ATC to your smartphone.
30 Minute Notice before Landing and Divert Messages
- If you have "Landing " selected, we will also send you a 30 minute prior to landing message, and also a notice when the plane has diverted from it's intended landing place.
