Troubleshooting Charging Issues on a Foretrex 201

When your Foretrex® 201 outdoor handheld will not charge, there are several troubleshooting options to get the device to start charging:

• Ensure the cable is securely inserted into the charging mount and power source
• The charging mount needs to be placed under the hook and loop strap in order to be snapped in correctly

After checking both of these options, the Foretrex 201 handheld should now start charging.*

If you still experience charging issues, try to restart the device with it attached to the charging mount and power source:

1. Press and hold the Page and Power buttons simultaneously
2. Release both buttons after 5 seconds

The device should now start charging. It is recommended to keep it in the charger until the battery is fully charged.

*It is recommended to charge the battery for an hour before determining that the battery is no longer functioning as intended.
