Alpha 200 Plus and Alpha 300 Series Tracked Device Setup

You can customize how you view your tracked devices on the map screen of your Alpha® 200 Plus, Alpha® 300, or Alpha® 300i dog tracking handheld. 


Start from your map screen:

  1. Select Menu
  2. Select Tracked Devices Setup

From here you will have various sub menu's you can go into. 

Auto Zoom: Allows the map to zoom out automatically, so the selected devices are always displayed on the map.

  • Show Tracked Dogs
  • Show Tracked Handhelds
  • Show All Tracked Devices

Dog Tracks on Map: Allows you to hide the dog tracks on the map, or to customize how long you can view the dog tracks on the map. 

Handheld Tracks on Map: Allows you to hide the handheld tracks on the map, or to customize how long you can view the handheld tracks on the map. 

Dog Display: Shows you different options on how to customize how you view your dogs on the map. 

  • Indicator:
    • Status: Dog icon on map that is either treeing, pointing, running, or sitting. 
    • Direction: Triangle on map that is showing the direction the dogs are going. 
  • Show Dog Names: view dog names on map, or toggle off. 
  • Show Dog Distances: view dog distance on map, or toggle off. 
  • Show Lost Dog Timer: shows how long your dog device has been out of communication with the handheld.

Show Offscreen Dogs: when this is on you will see a flag icon with the dog name in it, indicating there are dogs on the map that you are unable to view due to being zoomed in.


Map Overlays

Map Overlays is a feature that allows your handheld to make changes to the color of the dogs track when the dog is treed, barking or going over a set speed.

From the map page:

    1. Select Menu
    2. Select Tracked Devices
    3. Select Map Overlays
    4. Use the toggles to toggle on or off the various overlays. 
      • Click the colored box on each section to change the color of the overlay track.

Example: What Your Map Will Look Like

In the image below you will see the green line indicates the dog's normal track, the white line indicates the dog going over a set speed and the blue line indicates the area where the dog treed. If the dog was barking that would be indicated by an additional color of your choice.
