Downloading Birdseye Satellite Imagery in BaseCamp for the GPSMAP 66 and 67 Series

For GPSMAP® 66 and 67 outdoor handhelds, BirdsEye Direct images downloaded over Wi-Fi will show on the device only. They do not interact with or transfer to BaseCamp™ software.

You can download images to BaseCamp software and the GPSMAP 66 or 67 handheld while physically connected with the USB cable.

  1. Connect the device to your computer and enter Mass Storage Mode.
  2. Launch the BaseCamp program on your computer.
  3. Select BirdsEye in the menu bar.
  4. Select Download BirdsEye Imagery.
  5. From the drop-down list, select the device with the subscription and select Next.
  6. From the drop-down list, select the subscription called Satellite Imagery.
  7. Select Continue.
  8. Use the Wizard tools to select the area you wish to download and select Download.
    • On this page, you can change the name of the imagery and select a detail level.
    • If the download size limit is exceeded, resize the area for download.
  9. The download will now begin at which point you can choose an option:
  10. Select Finish.
