Using the Garmin PowerSwitch App With Android Auto or Apple CarPlay
The Garmin PowerSwitch™ rugged 12V controller supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, enabling you to view and control digital switching functions from your vehicle's in-dash infotainment display by using the Garmin PowerSwitch™ app with a compatible smartphone.
To install the Garmin PowerSwitch app on a smartphone, please refer to Installing the Garmin PowerSwitch App for directions.

1. On the Android phone, go to Settings.
2. Select Connected devices.
3. Select Connection preferences.
4. Select Android Auto.
5. Select Customize launcher.
6. To disable, uncheck the app, OR
7. To enable, check the app.
8. Optionally, to rearrange the apps:
- Select Launcher sorting and select Custom order.
- Select and hold the icon with six dots next to each app, then drag it up or down to the desired location and release. Do this with each app to arrange them as you wish.
1. On the iPhone, go to Settings
2. Select General
3. Select CarPlay
4. Select the CarPlay name being used
5. Select Customize
6. To disable, tap the Minus, then tap Remove, OR
7. To enable, scroll down to More Apps and tap the Plus.
8. Optionally, to rearrange the apps:
- Select and hold the 3 lines to the right of the app to move.
- Drag it up or down to the desired location and release. Do this with each app to arrange them as you wish.
