Map Not Following My Location, Track or Navigation

While viewing the map on an automotive device, you may move the map to see ahead of where you are currently. This can also happen unintentionally by accidentally touching/swiping the screen. This can make it seem like the device is no longer following along with you or the map is frozen. When this happens, the map simply needs to be re-centered on your current location.

To Re-center the Map:


Overlander® GPS Navigator

Street Map:

  • The green banner showing directions will disappear if the map has been moved.
  • Touch the back arrow to return the map to the current location.


Garmin Explore™ App: 

  • The only indication the map has been moved, is the orientation arrow in the top right of the screen becomes hollow

  • Touch to return the map to the re-orient the map to your current location.


zūmo® XT GPS Navigator

  • The green banner showing directions will disappear if the map has been moved.
  • Touch the back arrow to return the map to the current location.
