How do I delete a fitness device from Garmin Express?

When deleting a fitness device from Garmin Express, additional options for how the device is handled in Garmin Connect are provided.

To delete a fitness device:

  1. Open Garmin Express
  2. Select the fitness device
  3. Click Tools
  4. Click Utilities
  5. Click Remove Device
  6. Select an option - the data (i.e., activities, steps) will not be deleted

    • Keep in Garmin Connect:
      Removes device from Garmin Express but it remains available in Connect to other platforms like Garmin Connect Mobile
    • Remove from Garmin Connect:
      Removes device from Garmin Express and Garmin Connect
    • Retire in Garmin Connect (mark it as inactive):
      Removes device from Garmin Express and marks the device as inactive or retired in Connect. Useful if the device is no longer used or is given to another individual

  7. Click Remove Device

The device will be removed from Garmin Express and its availability or status changed in Garmin Connect.
